Mission Statement
Anteaters Against Autoimmunity is a new campus organization
developed to raise awareness of autoimmune diseases, raise funds
for their treatment and research, and educate the public on what
they can do to help those affected. Our organization is open to anyone
affected by or interested in knowing more about autoimmune diseases
(such as Lupus, Type 1 Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, Scleroderma,
Rheumatic Arthritis, Psoriasis, Celiac Disease, ITP, and many more).
We hope to spark an interest in our members to one day take the initiative
and do more in their future careers to strengthen the fight against this
group of diseases, by providing them with valuable learning opportunities
and community service experiences.

Finances
This is an outline of how we plan to use the funds that we have earned from our various fund-raising efforts. We use the money to:
- Put on our events, specifically those mentioned under the Awareness Events page.
- Fund a student or fellow at UCI to do autoimmune research.
- Donate to larger national aid organizations that reach the community in a different way, using the broader resources that are available to them. (Ex: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Lupus Foundation of America, etc.)
- Sustain our club at UCI (registration fees, printing fees, etc.)
