Autoimmunity Awareness Association (also known as Anteaters Against Autoimmunity) is dedicated to raising understanding and awareness for autoimmune diseases. Autoimmunity is a class of disease in which one’s immune system falsely attacks the body's tissues. Approximately 8.5 million people in the United State are afflicted with some form of autoimmune disease. Our student-run organization is based at the University of California, Irvine, and we've made it our mission to help the afflicted and to educate the general population about these diseases.
We would like to invite you to join us in working toward raising awareness and funds for autoimmune diseases. Please let us know if you are interested in attending our events, or helping us spread the word about our cause and organization. We would love to hear from you.
